This books follows an introverted entomologist named Greta whose world is turned upside down when her twin brother falls critically ill. After she rushes from to Ames to care for him, her career (butterfly scientist at Reimen Gardens), her education (finishing her thesis), her relationship with her ex-boyfriend (who's her new boss), and her feelings for her grad school classmate along with dealing with her absent mother and future sister-in-law, all metamorphosized in ways that she didn't expect.
Fans of the characters in "A Man Called Ove" and "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine" will find similarites with Greta and delight in the references to places in Central Iowa.

The Unsettling of America by Wendell Berry
This is an interesting read of the criticism of modern orthodox agriculture. Mr. Berry brings up many interesting points worth considering, like the idea that small farmers can make it without selling out to large corporations but they have to be willing to think and work outside the box and in conjunction with conservation and ecology departments helping to work with the land and not against it.
Wendell Berry is an author of many talents writing poetry, fiction and non-fiction alike. I enjoy his style and his wit and humor!
